Randy Crisp and Ruzanna Yesayan grew up as Cold war enemies. After a short stint in the military, Randy realized that his true calling was in photography and was later accepted into ICP in NYC. While still in school, Randy ad the opportunity to work closely with Magnum photographer Elliott Erwitt and also as an assistant to the Native American artist Fritz Scholder.

Ruzanna grew up under the influence of the Hermitage Museum and Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia. Able to receive refugee status, Ruzanna moved to the USA to pursue her love of the arts. After graduating from Rutgers University and later The Art Center College of Design, she worked for 5 years as an art director.

Randy and Ruzanna eventually met in Los Angeles. They decided to lay down their arms and work together as Roman Leo. They now currently reside in Brooklyn with their two dogs, Roman and Roger. When not working on assignments, Ruzanna and Randy spend their off time paddle surfing and traveling off the beaten path.
