Seong Hee Park Bio

Seong Hee Park is a creative and innovative makeup artist with more than 15 years of experience in the fashion industry. Originally from South Korea and based in New York City, she studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and holds a Master’s degree in Color from the prestigious Hong-Ik University in Seoul.

Starting with the Calvin Klein Perfume 1 campaign in 2010, Seong Hee has worked with Pat McGrath on various projects including the Met Costume Institute Gala, Anna Sui, Y-3, Diesel Black Gold, J. Mendel, Ports 1961, Lanvin, Nina Ricci, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, H&M/Lanvin, and Vogue Runway to Green. Her work has also been featured in Vogue Korea and Taiwan, W Korea, Harper’s Bazaar Korea and China, Elle Korea, Marie Claire Korea, Nylon Mexico and Korea, Allure Korea, Cosmo Korea, Cosmo Bridal China, and Culture Magazine, among others.

Seong Hee’s work has been influenced by the likes of Helmut Newton, John Galliano and Henri Matisse. Always keeping the big picture and overall balance in mind, she is known for her understanding and use of color as well as her knowledge of fashion in general. She is inspired by the early 20th-century paintings and photography and has a love for vintage and English poetry.

She currently resides in Brooklyn.
